Undergraduate Program Requirements

Accounting Concentration

The following courses are required:

  • ACCT 1010 – Accounting and Financial Reporting (Fall/Spring/Summer)
  • ACCT 1020 – Strategic Cost Analysis (Fall/Spring/Summer)
  • ACCT 2120 – Financial Measurement and Disclosure (Fall)

Additionally, three of the following must be taken:

    • ACCT 2420 – Accounting and Business Analysis (Fall/Spring)
    • ACCT 2430 – Accounting for Mergers, Acquisitions, and Complex Financial Structures (Fall)
    • ACCT 2640 – Climate and Financial Markets (Spring).
    • ACCT 2700 – Predictive Analytics Using Financial Disclosures (Fall/Spring)
    • ACCT 2970 – Taxes and Business Strategy (Spring).*
      *ACCT 7970 may be used as an approved substitute for ACCT 2970.  Undergraduate students, submit a request in Path@Penn
    • ACCT 2900 – Accounting for Entrepreneurs
    • ACCT 3990 – Independent Study
    • FNCE 2070 – Valuation (Fall/Spring)
