Overview

Professor Cory Ng serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor with extensive experience in academia, industry, and professional development. Previously, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Administration for a professional association and now contributes his expertise as a Manager of Accounting & Auditing Content Development at a leading CPE company, designing innovative learning solutions for accounting practitioners.

Professor Ng’s academic roles have included serving as a full-time Associate Professor of Instruction, Deputy Chair, and Academic Director of the Master of Accountancy Program at Temple University. He also directed the Accounting Institute, a summer program for high school students exploring accounting careers, and founded the Fox Accounting Association, serving as its faculty advisor for six years. His contributions have been recognized with numerous awards for teaching, research, and service excellence, including the Musser Award for Excellence in Teaching and multiple Translational Research Awards.

Ng co-authored Artificial Intelligence in Accounting: Practical Applications (Routledge) and has completed executive education in artificial intelligence at MIT. He holds a DBA from Wilmington University, an MS in Accounting from Drexel University, and a BS in Economics from Georgia Tech. A licensed CPA in Pennsylvania, he also holds the CITP and CGMA designations.

  • ACCT1010 - Acct & Financial Report

    This course is an introduction to the basic concepts and standards underlying financial accounting systems. Several important concepts will be studied in detail, including: revenue recognition, inventory, long-lived assets, present value, and long term liabilities. The course emphasizes the construction of the basic financial accounting statements - the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement - as well as their interpretation.
