Research Interests: theoretical research in financial & managerial accounting.
Mirko Heinle's research interests concern accounting disclosure in capital markets, internal capital allocation, and the use of information in incentive contracts. Current research includes the propensity of firms to issue management forecasts, multi-stage aspects of the capital allocation process and the influence of managers' identity preferences on incentive contracting.
Mirko Heinle teaches Managerial Accounting in the undergraduate program. He received his doctoral degree from the University of Mannheim, Germany.
