PICPA Student Writing Competition

The Pennsylvania
Institute of CPAs announces its annual Student Writing Competition, sponsored
by the Pennsylvania CPA Journal
Editorial Board. The topic of this
year’s competition is “Assessing the Impact of Frequent Financial Information
Restatements.” Have accounting
misstatements and subsequent corrections become so frequent that they are now
considered an accepted part of today’s business world? Are they as common as we think, or have these
events merely become “news” because of the increased number of financial media
outlets?
